TappyStack, by Coastal Sunbeam. Last updated 10 August 2026.
TappyStack is a game with a leaderboard. It asks for as little as a
leaderboard can be built on, and this page says exactly what that is.
What the app keeps
- An anonymous id. Made on your device the first time you
open the app, so a run you publish can be told apart from someone else's.
It is not connected to your name, your email, your phone, or anything you
do in other apps. We never ask you to sign in.
- Runs you choose to publish. If you decide to put a run
on the board, the app sends the score and the link to the post you made.
Nothing is sent unless you choose to publish.
- Reports you send. If you report an entry, we receive the
entry, the board it was on, and your anonymous id — so we can act on it and
answer you.
What stays on your phone
- The video of every run. The game records your runs so
that one is ready if you want to publish it. The recording never leaves
your device: publishing saves it to your camera roll and hands it to the
iOS share sheet, and you post it yourself. We never receive it, and we do
not have a copy.
- Your best score, and anyone you have hidden from the
boards.
What the app does not do
- No tracking, no advertising identifiers, no analytics SDKs, no profiles.
We do not track you across apps or websites, and there is no third party in
the app collecting anything.
- No access to your photo library beyond adding the one clip you asked us
to save. The app asks for add-only permission and cannot read your photos.
- No contacts, no location, no microphone, no camera.
Who else sees it
Scores, links and reports are stored with Google Firebase, which hosts the
database on our behalf. Nobody else receives your data, and we do not sell it,
because there is nothing here worth selling and we would not anyway.
A run that is approved appears on a public board with its score and the link
to the post you already published. Your anonymous id is not shown.
Deleting it
Open about in the app and choose delete account.
That removes your anonymous id and withdraws any run still waiting to be
checked. Runs already on a board remain, because they are a score and a link
you published yourself and carry no identifier of yours — but write to us and
we will take those down too.
Children
TappyStack is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly keep
data from them. If you believe a child has submitted something, write to us and
we will remove it.
